The Gift of the Year: Handmade Tray with Sand Dollars

There's nothing better than a happy customer. And that's exactly where this handmade sand dollar tray landed.

First, so we are all on the same page - EVERY shell that I use in my art comes straight from the beach here in Siesta Key, Florida. 

Siesta beach, with its beautiful sunsets, lake-like water, and quartz-powder sand that truly never gets hot is magic and my inspiration. 

This beach is what I try to evoke in my trays. 

For this beauty, I created the beach scene with mica-powder tinted resin, sand, and the sand dollars. The resin layers provide a shine and depth that no picture can truly capture.

And that's not just me saying that - those are the words of my customer, who purchased this custom tray as a gift for a friend. "Beautiful." "I want this for myself."

Words that bring me so much joy.
